Porchfield is a small hamlet between Cowes and Yarmouth surrounded by green fields and copses. There are good walks from the village, one starts opposite the pub where there is a lane leading down to a farmyard and on to the shoreline, a lovely walk at any time of the year. Another walk leads off the main road from Porchfield to Cowes takes you to the Coastal path to West Cowes.
