A small hamlet between Cowes and Yarmouth, Porchfield lies among flat green fields and copses. There are two good walks from the village, the first starts opposite the pub where there is a lane leading down to a farmyard and on to the shoreline, a lovely walk at any time of the year. The second walk leading off the main road from Porchfield to Cowes takes you on the Coastal path to West Cowes.
Buntshill Barns are ideally situated, as it is only 15 minutes drive from the car ferry port of Yarmouth, and just 10 minutes drive from Cowes and the yacht havens. Newport, the main town is 15 minutes drive where Sainbury’s and Morrisons are situated.
A 10 minute walk brings you to the popular local pub ‘The Sportsman’s Rest’ well known for it’s good food and facilities for children.
The well known and beautiful nature reserve of Newtown is only 5 minutes away. The nearby Colmans Farm is popular place for people with young families. More
